What should I look for in a worksite or construction injury attorney?
Transcript
The first thing I think you need to see if that person has actually done a work site, especially a construction site, case. You need someone is familiar with the OSHA regulations. You need someone who can show familiarity with the industry regulations. There are a lot of regulations or safe workplace rules, that industries adopt. And so, you need to be able to find those. There are standards out there that really are there to protect workers. So the lawyer should know about those. The lawyer should have some understanding of the work that you’re actually performing at that time and the equipment. So, look for those things. Ask them if they’ve done cases before involving these OSHA regulations and these type of injuries. The other thing you need to be aware of or look for is, these are going to be complicated cases, they’re going to be time intensive and they’re going to be, they’re going to be vigorously defended by insurance companies who have really good lawyers. So you better make sure that the lawyer going to hire has got enough experience they can handle a big case. You need to make sure that they’ve got the money, the resources, to hire the right kind of experts to take on the industry because it’s going to be an expert intensive case. And then you’ve got to make sure that they’re staffed and they’re ready to go in case you need to go to trial. So those are just some of the things that I tell folks to look for and I think that those are things that we clearly can offer you at Bailey Javins & Carter. We’ve done these cases. We understand these cases. We can go toe to toe. We can invest and we have the resources to take on the industry and we can prosecute this claim for you.
